A Life’s Journey

Rose Joan Aluoch Oloo attended City Primary School and upon completion was accepted at Ngara Girls High School for her higher level of education.

Rose had a heart of gold and it was evidenced by her desire for helping people.  This was epitomized by the profession and career path she chose after completing her higher education.  Her  journey to serve the “People” began when she was accepted at Gertrude Garden Children’s Hospital in Muthaiga, Nairobi.  What better way to begin this life’s journey than working with children at this hospital.

After spending four years of caring for the young children, Rose transitioned to Marta Misericordia Hospital in Nairobi, a predictable next step, where she excelled in advanced midwifery. She dutifully completed three years there where her appreciation for God’s miracle of life and birth continued to grow. She was fortunate to study under the best in the medical profession and it continually showed in her level of commitment and service.

Rose’s love for serving  people led her on a journey, which, culminated in her being offered a nursing position at Nairobi Hospital, one of Kenya’s top hospitals.  While she was there, she transferred her knowledge of birth and life as she served in the operating theaters, critical and intensive care units.

Her professional expertise and experiences eventually brought her to the United States, where she continued her contribution of service to the “People”,  in line with her life’s journey.  As with her time in Kenya, she also touched thousands of hearts in the United States.

Rose’s Life’s Journey was ruled by many things: a golden heart, patience,  compassion, humility, a quiet spirit,  and a genuine love in caring for others
